Abstract

Using data to meet students’ individual learning needs is a common practice in U.S. K–12 education systems. In recent years, it has become more common for schools to expand the adoption of data-use practices by drawing on detailed data to inform an understanding of individual students’ learning needs, interests, and preferences and using that information to design highly tailored instructional experiences.
