Education is Liberation
Abstract
Research shows that the best way to improve the education of low-income youth is to engage their families in the academic process. Many educators and administrators prefer that low-income parents leave their school-aged children at the school door, stay far away (unless summoned), and let them as professionals do the work of educating their children.
