SIJ MEMBERSHIP

Membership Mission: As a member of the Social Innovations Journal, you are not just part of a community, but also a catalyst for change.  Your membership plays a pivotal role in fostering innovation and driving change. Through its membership SIJ has four (4) goals:

1. Identifies legitimate social innovation and social impact contributors.

2. Connects like-minded social innovators.

3. Inspires aspiring social entrepreneurs and organisations to become changemakers.

4. Fosters relationships between social sector investors and social innovators.

 

Membership Involvement: To further advance goal 4, SIJ proposes a platform that allows membership to financially support innovators across priority areas that are inspired by the Social Innovation Awards.  The current priority areas include: Living Wage, Attainable and Sustainable Housing, Equitable Health Care, Quality and Equitable Education, Behavioral/Mental Health Well Being, Arts and Culture, Accessible and Healthy Food, and Positive Climate Change.

 

Global Social Innovation Awards:

Building upon the SIJ 15+ history of finding change makers and innovators, the SIJ Members will host the global innovations awards.   

 

Process

1. SIJ Corporate and Influencer Members will determine the Priority Area Categories.

2. SIJ will ask its global readership to publicly nominate the most innovative models that are driving change and social impact.

3. SIJ members will vote on a maximum of 5 finalists per category.

4. Awards Ceremony

5. The top two changemakers per category will receive an equal distribution of 50% of the membership fees collected.

6. Top two changemakers per category will be invited to write an article for publication in a special edition of the SIJ.
